It just dawned on me that I never posted the final image of all those critters I’ve been sketching.
This illustration was designed as a learning tool for a friend’s young daughter. He wanted her to be able to learn colors, numbers, animals, and environments from it, so we’ve got one rabbit, two camels, three deer, etc. It was a great job for a great art director and I’m pleased with the simple style.

Quick-turnover class assignment to illustrate headers for the different sections of the New Yorker. Here’s Books, Food, and Art. I think I was hungry when I thought these up.

I’m taking fifteen credits in 5 classes this term, more than I’ve ever dared tackle before (but necessary if I wanna graduate on time in Spring 2011). Four of these classes are lecture classes, while only one is a studio class. This gives me lots and lots and lots of time to doodle in the margins of my notes. Their mama is a Moleskin and their daddy is boredom.

I’ve also finished at last the freelance project involving the animals below. I’ll post the final soon.
