What I Wore Today

While farting around in class the other day, my lovely friend Chelsey Thornton showed me an awesome Flickr group/blog called What I Wore Today… in Drawings.  I’ve always loved drawing clothes so the concept of the blog really appealed to me.  I’ve been needing some sort of quickie drawing inspiration to loosen up after spending so many hours on thesis stuff for school, plus anything that gets my work out there is great.  I whipped these out in the last week, and I’m planning on submitting them soon.

Eau de Technologie

This is a spot illustration I did for my thesis oral presentation about the growing dependence of Americans on technology.  It’s the last slide in my Keynote show, so it will linger on the screen while the panel grills me and asks me questions about my idea.  Hopefully it does a passable job of summing up my point.

Some More School Stuff

I haven’t had much time lately to work on personal projects, so here are two recent finished pieces for school.  The first is the cover and interior of a tri-fold CD album by my roommate Gordon Romei.  It was inspired by an HP Lovecraft short story called “The Quest of Iranon.”  The second set are promotional stickers for the Dove-Lewis Animal Hospital here in Portland.  The assignment was to create some small, easily produced thank-you gifts for kids ages 6-16 who donate their money to the hospital.
